The biggest industry news this month is the memorandum that has been signed between MICT SETA and CompTIA in relation to the CompTIA A+ and Network+ to registered standards. The MoU allows students who successfully complete the international CompTIA exams for 220-901, 220-902 and N10-006 to receive unit standard based credits in the form of a Certificate or Qualification from the MICT Seta.
The MoU specifies that specific outcomes/ assessment criteria (required by unit standard) will be covered by the CompTIA exam. In instances where it is not, the provider must ensure that the learner provides additional evidence of competence from the workplace. The additional evidence of competency will then be verified by the MICT SETA verifier.
